this book is about the march girls and thier mom that they call "marmee".meg, the oldest,is a sofisticated beauty who hates being poor because it's hard to be able to buy all the pretty things some of her rich friends have.jo,the next oldest,is an imaginative tomboy who is a writer heart and soul [like me]and doesn't want things in her life to change.including her sisters getting married.beth, the middle child,is a bashful, kind sweetheart who is attached to her home and extremely shy of strangers or even people she knows.amy, the youngest,is a dreamy artiste who wants to become a world famous painter and also wants to get rid of her "lifelong sorrow"or simply put, her nose.the march sisters go through their ups and downs as amy burns jo's manuscript, meg sprains herankle and is assisted by their new friend, laurie, meg falls in love,jo gets a story published in a newspaper, beth gets deathly sick,jo moves into the city, and all the march sisters[besides beth] eventually find true love. THE END.

The worst part of the book was the vocabulary some of the words where kind of big to cmprihend for a 12 year old about to be 13years old in the seventh grade.
