by Audrey Niffenegger

The Time Traveler's Wife tells the story of a man who uncontrollably travels through time and his struggle to reconcile his condition with a desire to live a normal life with his wife. The time traveler is an archivist at the library in Chicago and his wife is an artist specializing in paper-making. As the story proceeds, it is discovered that the character suffers from a genetic disorder causing the time travel, called "chrono-displacement."
